Nerdy and the Greek is a fundraising event in the form of the first annual nerd auction at Washington State University, with the proceeds establishing an endowment to support scholarships for women in computer science.

Six brave nerds will be handed over to sorority women shortly for complete makeovers, including new clothes, haircuts, and anything else needed. They will also receive etiquette and dance training. The whole thing will be filmed for behind-the-scenes clips. Once the makeover is complete, the nerds go up on the auction block.

The auction will take place on October 26th. The videos will be shown over a semi-formal dinner, after which we'll be treated to the musical showmanship of a surprise artist that you'll all enjoy. And then it's time to bid on a nerd! Homework help, computer help or for the adventurous bidder, even a dinner date. The possibilities are endless.

It has been brought to my attention that a lot of people don't know how to get to the event center. You can view the map by clicking here.

Thanks to the School of Electrical Engineer and Computer Science student tickets are now free! To get your free ticket visit the reservation page. This will guarentee you a seat at the catered dinner before the event begins. Gotta be quick though as tickets are going fast!
