In high school I was in symphonic band for 4 years on clarinet.  My senior year I started the tenor sax for jazz band and ended up going to state competition for my tenor sax solo.  I was in marching band for 4 years and my senior year was clarinet section leader.  The summer before my senior year I toured Europe with a symphonic band performing in several countries for 2 weeks.&
