Jonathon Lucas
I am in my sophomore year here at WSU, working towards a major in Computer Engineering and minors in German, Math, CS, and EE.
I am from Bremerton, where my family lives. I will be staying here for summer session this year; otherwise I would probably get bored --though working at Pizza Hut over the past two years has been quite the adventure.
I attended Central Kitsap High School --whose mascot is also a cougar-- in Silverdale, where I took 13 AP courses, which resulted in me entering WSU with 45 credits. So, this is my sophomore year, but I will have senior standing at the end of the semester.
And... I am getting initiated into TKE November 7!
Hanging with my TKE brothers, sleeping, playing computer/video games, writing, rollerskating, cooking... Just typical stuff for the most part. I just received a few older computers, so now I can mess around with them some and get experience using different OS's. I think in German a lot without meaning to, which could be considered a hobby; I find it pretty entertaining until I accidentally speak to someone in German, na?
I am joining IEEE and ACM and plan to compete in MCM (Mathematical Contest in Modeling) this year. I am also training with the WSU ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) teams.
I would like to work for a Company either in German -speaking country or that works with German-based companies. I am not yet sure exactly what I would like to do as a career, but there is still time for that. I might not know exactly where I will end up or what I will be doing, but that works out fine; there is still plenty of time to figure all that out.
