Sigma Kappa
The purpose of Sigma Kappa is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities.
Sigma Kappa Sorority represents four values: personal growth, friendship, service, and loyalty. The Alpha Gamma chapter at Washington State University strives to uphold and live these values on a daily basis.
To us, Sigma Kappa is sisterhood. It is a home away from home. It is returning to Pullman after a summer apart and talking endlessly for the next week. It is surprise squirt-gun fights at three A.M. and making friends with our newest neighbor, E-Flo.
We love to have fun, and are so excited to be able to participate in Nerdy and the Greek this year. The chapter is looking forward to meeting this year's nerds, and not only teaching but learning from them as well. We are quickly discovering that each of us is a little bit nerdy in our own way.

Sigma Kappa's national philanthropies are The Maine Sea Coast Mission, gerontology (with a focus on Alzheimer's research), and Inherit the Earth.
The local chapter contributes to each of these individually through a variety of service projects and fund-raising events. During a recent philanthropy event, we sold lollipops and raised over $2000 for the Alzheimer's Association in only 24 hours. We are currently involved in a challenge to raise with our chapter at University of Washington to raise the most money for our Foundation leading up to Apple Cup.
